6ft (1.8m) Cat6 Snagless Unshielded UTP Slim Ethernet Network Patch Cable - Green
6ft Green Cat6 Slim UTP patch cable with 28 AWG stranded copper conductors for high-density airflow management
The C2G02223 is a 6ft (1.8m) Cat6 Snagless Unshielded UTP Slim Ethernet Network Patch Cable in green, engineered specifically for high-density datacenter environments. By utilizing 28 AWG stranded copper conductors, this cable achieves a 36% reduction in diameter compared to standard Cat6 patch cables. This reduced 0.15 in (3.8 mm) cable diameter lowers the surface area of cable bundles, facilitating increased airflow within racks and enclosures. The slim profile and 0.6 in (15.2 mm) bend radius allow for easier routing through compact cable management panels. This cable is built to TIA/EIA-568-C.2 standards and supports data transfer rates of 10 GBPS with a bandwidth of 500 mHz. The molded snagless PVC hood provides strain relief and protects the RJ-45 male connectors from damage during installation. Note that for PoE/PoE+ applications, bundles should be limited to 40 cables to manage heat dissipation effectively.

Questions about this part
Will this Cat6 slim cable work in a standard 96 meter channel?
Yes, it is compatible with a 96 Meter Channel consisting of 90 meters of horizontal cable and up to 6 meters of these slim network patch cables.
Can I use this cable for PoE or PoE+ applications?
Yes, but it is recommended to limit cable bundles to 40 cables to ensure proper heat dissipation for these reduced diameter cables.
What is the difference between this and a standard Cat6 patch cable?
This slim version uses 28 AWG conductors to reduce the diameter by 36%, allowing for better airflow and a tighter 0.6 in (15.2 mm) bend radius in high-density spaces.
Is this cable suitable for high-speed data transfers?
Yes, the cable is designed for bandwidth-intensive applications and supports data transfer rates up to 10 GBPS.
What documentation is available for submittals?
Technical details are available in the Cat6 Slim Expansion Test Data PDF.
