The Middle Atlantic ERK-1828 is an economical 18 RU standalone floor-standing rack designed for professional AV installations. This frame-only configuration features a 28 in (71.1 cm) depth and is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a black wrinkle powder coat finish. To facilitate organized cabling, the rack includes lacing points and slotted rackrail brackets, alongside standard front adjustable 10-32 threaded rackrails that feature numbered spaces for easy equipment identification. The ERK-1828 includes a key-locked standard rear door for secure equipment access. For enhanced thermal management, the rack sides are equipped with top and bottom venting. This model is highly versatile; it can be ganged with other ERK Series units to create partitioned multi-bay installations for improved security and thermal control. This unit is TAA compliant and UL Listed in the US and Canada, supporting a UL load capacity of 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg). For deployments in seismic zones, this rack is seismic rated with a seismic load capacity of 680 lbs (308.4 kg) when installed with ERK-Z4 brackets.
