The Chief OB1U is an over-the-whiteboard interactive display mount designed to facilitate the installation of heavy interactive flat panel displays directly above existing chalkboards or whiteboards. This system is engineered to accommodate large-format displays ranging from 42" to 100" (1067 mm to 2540 mm) with a substantial weight capacity of 310 lbs (140.6 kg). The mounting solution features interface brackets that attach directly to the display and then hang onto a single rail-style cross bracket. This design allows installers to mount the display without needing to remove it from the box during the initial installation phase. To accommodate varying classroom layouts or different user heights, the mount provides a 26" (660 mm) height adjustment range through its telescoping legs. This versatility helps the installer navigate around obstacles and adjust for seated or standing viewers. Once installed, the mount maintains a minimum clearance of 4" (102 mm) from the wall and includes integrated lateral shift for horizontal alignment. For uneven surfaces, the system offers up to 1.5° of plumb adjustment. The OB1U is UL Listed and can be installed into wood, concrete, steel, or cinder-block walls.
