This F/UTP cable utilizes an overall cable foil shield and a drain wire to provide continuous protection against noise. The cable features 24 AWG stranded copper conductors and is wired to the TSB 568B (AT+T 258A) standard. For durability and ease of installation, the RJ-45 male connectors include PVC snagless boots that provide extra strain relief. Each connector is shielded and utilizes 50 micron gold-plated contacts. This cable is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C). To achieve a complete end-to-end shielded system, this cable should be used with Cat5e shielded patch panels and shielded keystone jacks.
