This cable features a 0.15 in (3.8 mm) diameter, representing a 28% reduction in diameter compared to standard Cat5e cables. It is constructed with 28AWG stranded copper conductors and features HDPE insulation and a PVC jacket. The connectors are booted, slim, and snagless RJ-45 male types. This specific model uses 28AWG conductors, which does not meet the 22-26AWG conductor size requirement of ANSI/TIA-568-C.2; consequently, attenuation is increased due to the smaller wire gauge. For PoE or PoE+ applications, heat dissipation requirements limit cable bundles to 40 cables. Recommended maximum channel lengths are 96 meters for a 90-meter horizontal cable with up to 6 meters of slim patch cables, or 93 meters for an 83-meter horizontal cable with up to 10 meters of slim patch cables.
