The C2G CG54284 is a 1-Port USB 2.0 Over Cat5/Cat6 Extender designed to overcome the native 16.4 foot limitation of standard USB cables. This active device is an ideal solution for conference rooms and huddle spaces where hardware must be placed far from the user. By utilizing a single Cat5/Cat6 cable, installers can reduce cable clutter or leverage existing in-wall cabling to bridge connections between separate rooms. The system supports data transfer rates up to 480 MBPS, providing sufficient bandwidth for most USB peripherals. This plug and play solution requires no software or drivers for operation. The included 5V2A DC power supply provides 2 Amps of current, offering the flexibility and power needed to operate most modern USB devices at a remote location. Please note that if you are extending a signal to support a Promethean 300 series or 500 series interactive whiteboard, we recommend using product 29338 instead of this model.
