The CG54172 is a 9.8 ft (3 m) USB 3.0 A Male to A Male cable designed for high-speed connectivity between SuperSpeed USB peripherals and a host. It supports data transfer rates of up to 5 GBPS when used with compliant USB 3.0 hardware. This cable is built with twisted pair construction and features both foil and braid shielding to minimize EMI/RFI interference and reduce crosstalk, which is essential for maintaining error-free SuperSpeed data transfers. The cable features a black PVC jacket and a 0.24 in (6 mm) diameter. For ease of identification, the overmolded connectors are color-coded blue to indicate USB 3.0 compatibility. This cable is backwards compatible with high-speed USB 2.0 devices (480 Mbps) as well as USB 1.1. It is compatible with both PC and Mac systems and is rated for an operating temperature range of -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C).
