It supports data rates up to 5 Gbps, making it suitable for hardware such as hard drive enclosures, printers, modems, and cameras. The cable utilizes twisted pair construction and is shielded with foil and braid to reduce EMI/RFI interference and crosstalk, ensuring error-free transmission. This USB 3.0 technology is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and USB 1.1 devices. The 0.24 in (6 mm) diameter PVC jacket protects the 28 AWG internal wiring. Connectors are overmolded and color-coded blue to facilitate easy identification of USB 3.0 compatibility. This cable is compatible with both PC and Mac systems and is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C).
