The CMS492C is a specialized above suspended ceiling storage box designed to conceal AV equipment while maintaining a professional appearance in classrooms and conference rooms. This white storage unit is engineered to fit within a standard 2' x 2' (60.33 x 60.33 cm) ceiling tile grid. To facilitate projector mounting within the same tile grid, the CMS492C accommodates a 1.5" NPT column drop, which allows for optimal pipe flexibility and reduced reliance on digital image correction. This TAA compliant and UL listed unit features a drop carriage door to improve serviceability, providing installers with full access to equipment. The box includes built-in ventilation and is designed to accommodate up to 1 single gang or 1 dual gang outlet via detachable power housing, which can be pre-installed by electricians on-site. For cable management and conduit, the enclosure features 4 nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", and 1/2" diameter conduit. The unit has a total weight capacity of 100 lbs (45.4 kg) and can accommodate equipment measuring up to 7.61" x 19.25" x 20" (193 x 489 x 508 mm). It ships with one internal shelf, though additional CMSUNV2 shelves and CMS1RU rack rail brackets can be purchased separately to customize the interior configuration.
