The Chief CMS492P2 provides a professional way to conceal AV equipment within a 2' x 2' (60.33 x 60.33 cm) suspended ceiling. This storage box is designed for classrooms and conference rooms, keeping sensitive components out of sight. This specific model features a high-performance, dual gang housing that includes an isolated ground, dual receptacle outlet, and multi-stage filtration and surge protection to shield equipment from high-frequency noise and power disturbances. The enclosure includes built-in ventilation to manage heat and 4 nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", and 1/2" diameter conduit. For installation flexibility, the detachable power housing can be pre-installed by electricians on site before being assembled to the storage box. The unit has an overall weight capacity of 100 lbs (45.4 kg), supporting up to 25 lbs (11 kg) per shelf location. This TAA compliant and UL Listed solution is ideal for mounting various AV components in ceiling plenums.
