The Chief CMS491P2 is a 1' x 2' (30.48 x 60.33 cm) above-suspended ceiling storage box designed to conceal AV equipment in classrooms and conference rooms. This white component storage solution features a drop carriage door that improves serviceability by providing full access to the equipment once installed. The unit includes a high-performance, dual-gang housing with an isolated ground and a two-gang receptacle outlet. This outlet provides non-sacrificial multi-stage filtration and surge protection to safeguard components from power disturbances and high-frequency noise. The box has an overall weight capacity of 100 lbs (45.4 kg), with a specific capacity of 50 lbs (22 kg) for projector ceiling plates and 25 lbs (11 kg) per shelf location. For installation, the box includes 4 nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", and 1/2" diameter conduit. It ships with 1 shelf, but an additional shelf can be purchased separately via SKU CMSUNV1.
