The Wiremold EFB45CTCBK is a low-profile, surface-style cover designed specifically for use with EFB45S style floor boxes. Constructed from durable die-cast aluminum, this black cover is engineered for installation in finished flooring environments, such as wood or carpet tile. It features a robust hinge that allows the cover to rotate 180° for access. To ensure safety and cable protection, the unit includes two slide egress doors that lock in the open position and automatically close around cabling once the cover is shut, significantly reducing trip hazards. For installations involving polished concrete or terrazzo, an EFB45-CTR ring must be used to achieve a flush finish (sold separately). This black finish is one of several available options in the Evolution Series, which also includes gray, bronze, satin brass, satin nickel, and brushed aluminum.
