The jack housing is constructed from high-impact, flame-resistant UL 94V-0 plastic to ensure durability. For simplified installation, the connector features a vertical design that facilitates easier punchdown termination. Inside, the spring wire is made of a phosphor bronze alloy plated with 50 micro-inch of gold over 100 micro-inches of nickel. This component is rated for a minimum of 750 insertion and extraction cycles and meets Category 5e standards as described in TIA/EIA-568-B.2. For larger projects, a contractor pack of 50 is available in part number WP3450-WH-50.
