This passive cable features 24 AWG stranded copper conductors and 50-micron gold-plated contacts to maintain signal integrity for 1000BASE-T (1 Gigabit Ethernet) applications. The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) construction is housed in a blue PVC jacket with a CMR riser rating, making it suitable for use in vertical shafts and riser applications. To facilitate easier installation in high-density environments, the snagless RJ-45 male connectors include a molded boot that protects the clips from being snapped off and provides additional strain relief.
