This specific model features a Wide (16:10) screen format and is equipped with a Parallax Stratos 1.0 surface, which provides high resolution and Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) properties for front projection applications. Utilizing SightLine cable drop technology, the screen uses a suspension system with thin cables to create a floating appearance, eliminating the need for a traditional black drop. This configuration allows for variable vertical placement between the ceiling and the top of the screen, offering a standard drop range of up to 70" to accommodate specific architectural requirements or camera and speaker placement. The unit includes a standard 120V (60Hz) motor and features a white powder-coated case with a slot-style closure door. This TAA compliant solution is built with a black backing to maintain projected brightness and utilizes the TruGuide™ Electric Screen Tensioning System for an optimal, smooth viewing surface.

Key features

Parallax Stratos 1.0 surface with Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) and high resolution capabilities

SightLine™ cable drop technology for a floating screen effect without a black drop

Recessed ceiling installation with two-stage mounting for rough-in or finishing stages

TruGuide™ Electric Screen Tensioning System for a smooth and flat viewing surface

Standard Low Voltage Control (LVC) with a white powder-coated case

TAA Compliant and UL Plenum rated case for versatile installation environments

Questions

What is the screen size and aspect ratio for the DL14997BLS?

The DL14997BLS has a 109 in (276.9 cm) diagonal with a screen height of 57.5 in (146.1 cm), presented in a Wide 16:10 format.

How does the SightLine drop feature work with this screen?

The SightLine cable drop uses thin cables to suspend the screen, allowing for variable vertical placement up to 70" between the ceiling and the top of the screen.

What additional controllers are compatible with this DL14997BLS screen?

You can add compatible controllers such as the Da-Lite DL16522 (RF BLE Remote) or the DL16521 which includes a PoE Injector.

What kind of mounting and installation is required for this model?

This is a ceiling recessed unit designed for two-stage installation: the case is installed during the rough-in stage, and the surface assembly is installed during finishing.

Is this screen suitable for high-ambient light environments?

Yes, the Parallax Stratos 1.0 surface features Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) properties specifically designed for front projection.

Specifications are supplied by the manufacturer.
