This Advantage Manual series screen is engineered to eliminate the need for extra finishing work; the integrated ceiling trim conceals the rough opening once installed. It features a white powder-coated case and a standard black backing to help retain projected brightness. This 84 in (213.4 cm) diagonal model utilizes a Matte White non-tensioned surface optimized for 4:3 video format front projection. For installation, the CSR (Controlled Screen Return) mechanism ensures a quiet, controlled return of the fabric to the housing. The two-stage installation allows the screen case to be mounted during the rough-in construction stage, while the fabric assembly can be completed during the final finishing stage. This TAA compliant unit is a complete screen solution.

Key features

Ceiling recessed application with integrated trim to conceal rough openings

CSR mechanism provides a quiet and controlled screen return to the case

Matte White non-tensioned surface optimized for 4:3 video format

UL Plenum rated case for safe installation in plenum spaces

Standard black backing to maximize projected brightness

Questions

Will this screen fit a 4:3 aspect ratio projection setup?

Yes, the 85701 is specifically configured with a 4:3 video screen format and a 50" x 67" Matte White surface.

How do I install this ceiling recessed screen?

The installation is a two-stage process: the case can be mounted during rough-in construction, and the fabric assembly is completed during the finishing stage using the provided sliding installation brackets.

What is the benefit of the CSR feature on this Da-Lite screen?

The CSR (Controlled Screen Return) ensures that the manual screen returns to the housing in a quiet and controlled manner.

Is this Da-Lite 85701 model TAA compliant?

Yes, this product is TAA compliant and features a UL Plenum rated case.

Does this screen require additional trim work after installation?

No, the Advantage line is designed with ceiling trim already in place to conceal the rough opening.

Specifications are supplied by the manufacturer.
