This hinged access panel is constructed from 13-gauge aluminum with a flat black powder coat finish, making the material easy to machine for custom requirements. This style is specifically intended for installations where technicians need to reach the rear of connector panels without fully unmounting equipment. For ease of use during service, the panel features a hinged design on one side and utilizes captive 10-32 threaded thumbscrews. These thumbscrews allow for tool-free opening and are designed to remain attached to the panel so they do not get lost during maintenance.

Key features

6 RU height for managing vertical rack space

Hinged on one side to facilitate easy interior access

Captive 10-32 threaded thumbscrews allow for tool-free service

Constructed from 13-gauge aluminum with a flat powder coat finish

Solid panel design to control airflow and prevent accidental contact

Questions

How do I open the AP-6 without tools?

The AP-6 uses captive 10-32 threaded thumbscrews that can be turned by hand for quick access to the rack interior.

Does this panel require extra hardware for installation?

You will need rack screws and a drive bit for installation, as these are not included with the panel.

Can this panel be customized for specific needs?

Yes, the 13-gauge aluminum construction is designed to be easily machinable for custom modifications.

What is the purpose of the solid panel design?

The solid construction helps manage airflow within the rack and prevents accidental contact with internal components.

Is the AP-6 TAA compliant?

Yes, the AP-6 is TAA compliant.

Specifications are supplied by the manufacturer.
