To maintain signal integrity over this distance, the cable features an active component that buffers incoming and outgoing signals, ensuring full compliance with USB 2.0 electrical and timing specifications. This bidirectional signal transmission supports a data transfer rate of 480 Mbps, making it suitable for both high-speed and low-speed USB devices. Built for professional environments, the cable features a CMP-rated, FT6-rated plenum jacket made of PVC, meeting the safety requirements for installation in commercial ceiling or floor spaces. The 24 AWG wire construction provides reliable power and data delivery, drawing necessary operating power directly through the USB port. This active extension is an essential component for long-distance USB deployments in controlled commercial environments.

Key features

50 ft (15.2 m) length with active signal buffering for USB 2.0 compliance

CMP-rated and FT6-rated plenum jacket for commercial space installation

Supports bidirectional signal transmission at 480 Mbps data transfer rates

Active copper cable draws required operating power through the USB port

24 AWG wire gauge with a 0.24 in (6 mm) cable diameter

Operating temperature range of 14°F to 167°F (-10°C to 75°C)

Questions

Will this cable work with my USB 2.0 devices at long distances?

Yes, the CG39935 uses active signal buffering to maintain USB 2.0 480 Mbps speeds and electrical compliance over its full 50 ft (15.2 m) length.

Is the CG39935 suitable for installation in commercial air plenums?

Yes, this cable features a plenum-rated jacket that is both CMP and FT6 rated for use in commercial spaces.

Does the CG39935 require an external power supply?

No, the cable is an active device that draws its required operating power directly through the USB port.

What is the difference between the CG39935 and the CG39936?

The CG39935 is a 50 ft (15.2 m) version, whereas the CG39936 is a longer 75 ft (22.8 m) version of the same plenum-rated active extension.

Where can I find the technical documentation for this cable?

The C2G-39935 Datasheet (PDF) is available for download in the Resources tab to assist with technical submittals.

Specifications are supplied by the manufacturer.
